✧ Combing the hair of the menstruating woman

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ:

أَرْسَلَتْ أُمِّي إِلَى عَلْقَمَةَ: أَتُمَرِّضُ الْحَائِضُ ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، إِذَا حُضِرْتِ فَلْتَقُمْ مِنْ عِنْدِكِ قَالَ: قُلْتُ: تُغَسِّلُنِي إِذَا مُتُّ ؟ قَالَ: لَا.

Translation

✧ My mother sent word to ʿAlqamah: “May a menstruating woman nurse the sick?” He said, “Yes, but if you are near death, she should leave you.” I said, “May she wash me when I die?” He said, “No.”
