عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ:
أُخْبِرْتُ أَنَّ ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ حَجَّ، فَرَأَى عُثْمَانَ فِي الْخَيْفِ فَنَادَاهُ، ثُمَّ رَأَيَا عَلْقَمَةَ فَدَعَوَاهُ. فَقَالَ ابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ: يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ، أَخْبِرْ عَلْقَمَةَ كَيْفَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ حِينَ مَرَّ بِالْفِتْيَةِ ؟ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَمَرَّ بِفِتْيَةٍ، فَقَالَ: مَنْ كَانَ مِنْكُمْ ذَا طَوْلٍ فَلْيَتَزَوَّجْ؛ فَإِنَّهُ أَغَضُّ لِلْبَصَرِ، وَأَحْصَنُ لِلْفَرْجِ. وَمَنْ لَا فَلْيَصُمْ؛ فَإِنَّ الصَّوْمَ لَهُ وِجَاءٌ
