✧ May the People of the Book be asked about anything?

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ
فِي قَوْلِهِ: ﴿فَإِنْ كُنْتَ فِي شَكٍّ مِمَّا أَنْـزَلْنَا إِلَيْكَ فَاسْأَلِ الَّذِينَ يَقْرَءُونَ الْكِتَابَ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ ﴾قَالَ: بَلَغَنَا أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ: لَا أَشُكُّ، وَلَا أَسْأَلُ
Translation
✧ Regarding His saying: "So if you are in doubt about what We have sent down to you, ask those who recite the Book before you" (Q 10:94), he said: It has reached us that the Prophet ﷺ said: "I do not doubt, nor do I ask."
