أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ،
قُلْتُ لَهُ: الْمُسْلِمُ يُعْتِقُ النَّصْرَانِيَّ وَالْيَهُودِيَّ، أَفِيهِ أَجْرٌ ؟ قَالَ: " لَا "، وَكَرِهَ إِعْتَاقَهُمْ
Translation

✧ I said to him: 'A Muslim who frees a Christian or a Jew – is there reward in it?' He said: 'No,' and he disliked freeing them.
