أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ التَّيْمِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: أَنْبَأَنِي قَتَادَةُ:
أَنَّ نَصْرَانِيًّا قَالَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ: قَدْ أَسْلَمْتُ ! فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: أَبَا الْحَارِثِ، فَقَالَ النَّصْرَانِيُّ: قَدْ أَسْلَمْتُ ! فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ الثَّالِثَةَ: أَبَا الْحَارِثِ ! فَقَالَ: قَدْ أَسْلَمْتُ قَبْلَكَ ! فَقَالَ: كَذَبْتَ؛ حَالَ بَيْنَكَ وَبَيْنَ الْإِسْلَامِ ثَلَاثُ خِلَالٍ: شَرْيُكَ الْخَمْرَ وَلَمْ يَقُلْ شُرْبُكَ، وَأَكْلُكَ الْخِنْزِيرَ، وَدَعْوَاكَ لِلهِ وَلَدًا
Translation
✧ A Christian said to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: 'I have become Muslim!' The Prophet ﷺ said: 'Abu al-Harith.' The Christian said: 'I have become Muslim!' The Prophet ﷺ said the third time: 'Abu al-Harith!' He said: 'I became Muslim before you!' He said: 'You have lied; three traits have come between you and Islam: your drinking wine' – and he did not say 'your drinking' – 'your eating pork, and your claiming a child for Allah.'
