أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ، سَمِعَ شُعْبَةَ يَقُولُ: أَخْبَرَنِي الْقَاسِمُ الْأَعْرَجُ
أَنَّ سَعِيدَ بْنَ جُبَيْرٍ كَانَ عِنْدَهُمْ سِنِينَ بِأَصْبَهَانَ، فَكَانَ غُلَامٌ لَهُ مَجُوسِيٌّ يَخْدُمُهُ، وَيُنَاوِلُهُ الْمُصْحَفَ فِي غِلَافِهِ ".
Translation
✧ Sa'id b. Jubayr was with them for years in Isfahan, and he had a Magian servant boy who served him and handed him the mushaf in its cover.
