أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ:
كَانَ فِي كِتَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ إِلَى أَهْلِ الْيَمَنِ: وَمَنْ كَرِهَ الْإِسْلَامَ مِنْ يَهُودِيٍّ وَنَصْرَانِيٍّ فَإِنَّهُ لَا يُحَوَّلُ عَنْ دِينِهِ، وَعَلَيْهِ الْجِزْيَةُ عَلَى كُلِّ حَالِمٍ ذَكَرٍ وَأُنْثَى حُرٍّ وَعَبْدٍ دِينَارٌ أَوْ مِنْ قِيمَةِ الْمَعَافِرِ أَوْ عَرْضِهِ
Translation
✧ In the letter of the Prophet ﷺ to the people of Yemen was: 'Whoever rejects Islam from among the Jews and Christians will not be turned away from his religion, and the jizya is due from every adult, male and female, free and slave: one dinar or the value of Ma'afiri cloth or its equivalent in goods.'
